Ama Soul was founded by Inez Berkhout, inspired by the years she spent in Ghana and the profound gratitude she feels for the country. Experiencing firsthand the richness of West African botanicals and the warmth of its people, she set out to create a brand that could share these gifts with the world — while giving something meaningful back to the communities who make them possible.

At the heart of Ama Soul are botanicals hand-harvested in Ghana, such as shea, baobab, moringa, hibiscus, and coconut. These powerful ingredients are blended with science-backed actives to create high-performance skincare that delivers visible results.
We stay true to artisanal techniques: our soap bars are cold-processed to preserve natural glycerin, and our body butters and balms are gently crafted by hand at low temperatures to maintain their potency. This conscious approach ensures that every Ama Soul product is both efficacious and sensorially indulging.
